The Head of Delivery is the main technical point of contact for the VN team: always current on who's on the bench, who's staffed where, and who's available for a new project, and the person Sales and NL-based PMs go to first when a new engineer is needed. The role works closely with NL-based Project Managers who retain ownership of their own projects to keep delivery, QA, and engineering capacity aligned, while also being hands-on in estimation, architecture, and ensuring delivery commitments are actually met. **Key Responsibilities** - **Technical Point of Contact, Resourcing & Technical Championship:** Serve as the single technical point of contact for the VN engineering organization. Maintain real-time visibility of all VN candidates and staff—who's available, who's ramping, who's on the bench- so a resourcing question never has to go through more than one person. Source and staff engineers for new projects as they're scoped, working directly with Sales and NL PMs on timing and fit, through the standard hiring process. Act as the team's technical champion: stay current on the state of the art in software and AI-assisted development, and bring that knowledge back into the team's practices, tooling choices, and technical decisions. - **Delivery Collaboration & Accountability with PMs & QA:** Partner with NL-based Project Managers on resourcing, capacity planning, and risk—PMs continue to own and manage their own projects; this role does not sit above them in the reporting line. Support estimations and technical architecture decisions for new and in-flight projects. Act as the VN-side point of contact for delivery questions, engineering constraints, and QA status. Take hands-on responsibility for making sure VN-side delivery commitments are actually met—flagging and resolving risk early, and escalating jointly with the relevant PM when something needs NL-side input. - **Technical Governance:** Oversee local architecture, system design, and code quality. Enforce engineering standards, code reviews, and CI/CD practices across web and cloud-native applications. - **People Leadership & Mentorship:** Act as the direct people manager for the local technical team. Conduct regular 1-on-1s, drive performance evaluations, structure career progression pathways, and build a high-performance engineering culture. - **Sales & Pre-Sales Support:** Available to Sales for technical scoping input, candidate/resourcing queries, and structuring proposals that touch VN delivery capacity. - **Retention & Culture:** Design and run local team engagement and retention strategies to minimize turnover in a competitive regional market. ## What you bring **Candidate Profile & Requirements** - 8+ years hands-on software development experience, with a track record as a Senior Engineer or Architect on modern, scalable stacks. - 2-3+ years of direct people management leading agile teams of 5+, with demonstrated performance management and mentoring. - Strong estimation and technical architecture experience—comfortable scoping new work and defending technical decisions to clients and leadership. - Experience managing delivery across multiple concurrent projects, not just a single engineering team. - Strong, current grasp of modern software and AI-assisted development practices. - Exceptional emotional intelligence—able to manage diverse personalities, resolve conflict, and align local talent with global strategy. - Native Vietnamese, with excellent, articulate English for working directly with global executives. - **Nice to have:** Familiarity with security/compliance practices (ISO 27001, SOC 2, access governance). ## What we offer **What You'll Get** - Work on modern AI-native and real-time products - Direct collaboration with international clients - High level of ownership and autonomy - Opportunity to work with the best engineers and modern technologies - A collaborative environment where initiative, clear communication, and practical problem-solving are highly valued How we assess Two sixty-minute assessments, one with AI tools off and one with your own agents running.
