What remains is knowing which endpoint shouldn't exist in the first place. 02 ### Transaction boundaries still require a human Getting the transaction boundary wrong, or misunderstanding where a retry becomes a double charge, isn't something a model handles reliably. That judgement still sits with the engineer. 03 ### The role moved from writing to owning Backend engineers now spend less time writing services and more time answering for how those services behave in production. When a service fails under load, the engineer is the one who has to explain why and fix it.
