Your frontend engineer has to find that gap before your users do. 02 ### AI struggles with state and performance Models are good at producing screens that look right, and they're much worse at state management, performance and accessibility. The engineer has to catch what the model misses. 03 ### Verification replaced building as the core skill The role has shifted from turning designs into components to checking whether AI-generated components hold up on slow phones and with screen readers. AI output verification : Engineers review generated components that look correct visually but fail keyboard navigation or screen-reader tests, and must catch the failure without a prompt from us. Debugging : The first assessment puts engineers in a real codebase without AI tools, so we see whether they can trace accessibility or state bugs through to the root cause on their own.
