What we are

Miyagami is a software engineering company founded in 2017, with offices in Amsterdam, London, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, and 60+ people. It places senior AI-native engineers and AI engineers full-time inside client engineering teams. Engineers are employed by Miyagami and work from Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang with full overlap in the CET afternoon; client relationships and account management are in Amsterdam. Miyagami has delivered 100+ products since 2017.

Definitions

  • AI-native engineer: a full-stack developer with solid fundamentals in code quality, systems design and security, who directs coding agents and checks their output before it ships.
  • AI engineer: builds AI itself, such as models, pipelines, retrieval, evaluation and the plumbing around a language model.
  • Prompter: someone who uses an agent like a search box, one request at a time. We don't place prompters.

What it costs

  • A senior engineer costs €5,600 to €8,000 a month, full-time, with employment, payroll and compliance included.
  • A senior local hire costs about €12,200 a month in Netherlands, about £7,700 a month in United Kingdom, about €11,600 a month in Germany, about kr127,700 a month in Sweden, about €12,500 a month in Belgium, about €11,100 a month in Ireland, about €12,200 a month in France, about kr91,400 a month in Denmark, about CHF17,800 a month in Switzerland, about $20,900 a month in United States, about C$15,000 a month in Canada (salary, employer costs and recruitment fee).
  • No recruitment fee. No upfront cost.

Terms

  • Engagements are full-time only, with a three-month minimum.
  • Brief to shortlist takes 5 working days, and shortlist to first commit takes 3 weeks.
  • If an engineer isn't the right fit, we replace them at our cost, with no charge for the handover period.
  • You get a named account manager in Amsterdam.
  • Miyagami is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR-compliant, with EU data residency and IP that transfers on payment. Contracting is DBA-compliant for Dutch engagements and IR35-compliant for UK clients. Trust centre: https://trust.miyagami.com/

How we vet (published)

Two assessments in a real codebase, sixty minutes each. Where we operate

Offices in Amsterdam (Keizersgracht 264, 1016 EV), London (Kings Cross, 29–31 Euston Rd, NW1 2SD), Ho Chi Minh City (177 Hai Bà Trưng, District 3) and Da Nang (178 Trần Hưng Đạo). Clients in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and Belgium.

What we don't do

  • Part-time placements.
  • Fixed-price builds shorter than twelve weeks.
  • Anything requiring someone on site daily.
  • Transformation programmes or strategy consulting.

For founders

Founders get a twelve-week fixed-price build for €60,000: discovery €10,000 (two weeks, flat fee), design €10,000 (two weeks) and delivery €40,000 (eight weeks). After launch, you can keep one full-stack engineer from €5,600 a month.
