Hire Python developers

Our senior Python developers build backends, data pipelines and AI integrations. Each one is tested on generated SQL that's confidently wrong, on async pitfalls, and on knowing when a model is the wrong tool for the problem.

What changed about working in Python

01

Copilot writes plausible, broken queries

AI tools produce syntactically valid SQL and ORM calls that return wrong results without raising an error. A Python developer now spends as much time verifying data correctness as writing the logic itself.

02

AI accelerates pipelines, then obscures failures

Scaffolding a data pipeline takes minutes with AI assistance, so engineers ship faster and debug less obvious failures later. The skill that matters now is recognising when generated transformation logic silently drops or duplicates rows.

03

LLM integration is a production engineering problem

Calling an API is straightforward; handling latency, token limits, cost spikes and degraded model outputs in production is not. Python developers today need to know where to add guardrails and when a deterministic function is simply the better choice.

What we test for

How we assess Python developers

Every engineer works through a fundamentals assessment with AI tools switched off and a second assessment with their own agents running. For Python developers, these criteria carry the most weight.

AI output verification

The developer gets a Copilot-generated SQLAlchemy query with a subtle aggregation error. Assessors watch whether they trust the output, test the edge case or catch the bug before it reaches data.

Debugging

The developer gets an async Python service with a race condition in it. Assessors check whether they isolate it methodically or reach for a tool before forming a hypothesis.

Judgement by risk

The developer gets a scenario where an LLM could replace a rules-based classifier and reasons through the trade-offs. Assessors look for whether they weigh reliability and auditability alongside capability.

Questions about hiring Python developers

How senior are the Python developers you place?

The Python developers we put forward have 6+ years of experience on average, and they've shipped and maintained production systems in Python. Every one has passed both assessments, and you see their scorecards before you meet them.

How do you test Python specifically?

Each developer does two sixty-minute assessments in a real codebase. The first covers fundamentals with AI tools off, including debugging, async behaviour, data correctness and prioritisation. In the second, they use their own AI agents while assessors watch how they verify generated code and handle model failures. You get both scorecards.

How quickly can a Python developer start?

You'll have a shortlist within five working days. From shortlist to first commit is typically three weeks. Engineers are full-time, so there's no availability juggling across other clients.

What does a Python developer cost?

You pay a fixed monthly fee of €5,600 to €8,000 per full-time engineer, with employment, payroll and compliance included and no recruitment fee. The pricing page compares it with the all-in cost of a senior local hire in your country. Engagements are full-time with a three-month minimum, and if a placement doesn't work out, we replace them at our cost.

Do they work in our tools and codebase?

A full-time Python developer costs €5,600 to €8,000 a month. There's no recruitment fee, nothing upfront and a three-month minimum. If the fit is wrong, we replace the engineer at our cost.
