What a senior engineer costs, against hiring locally
You pick where you'd hire and how many engineers you need, and you see both monthly costs in your own currency. Every line of the local-hire figure shows its source.
There's no recruitment fee and nothing to pay upfront. Engagements are full-time, with a three-month minimum.

Embedded in your team
One or more engineers join your existing team. They report to your lead, work in your tools and join your sprints, for teams that have the structure and need the capacity.

Dedicated team
A team of our engineers works together on a product or workstream you own. You set the priorities and review the work, and your account manager in Amsterdam handles reporting and the contract. A hybrid set-up, with some of your own people in the team, is possible too.
The whole offering on one page
- What it is
Full-time senior engineers who work inside your team, in your tools, your process and your sprints. They're employed by Miyagami and based in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, with account management in Amsterdam.
- Vetting
Every engineer has been through two sixty-minute assessments in a real codebase, the first with AI tools off and the second with their own agents on. You see both scorecards before you meet anyone.
- What you get
A named account manager in Amsterdam, one per five engineers.
Weekly reporting against the metrics you set.
Direct access to the engineer, with no coordinator in between.
- Cost
A fixed fee of €5,600 to €8,000 a month per full-time engineer, with employment, payroll and compliance included. The calculator above compares it with hiring locally.
There's no recruitment fee and nothing to pay upfront.
- Commitment
Engineers work full-time only. We don't do part-time.
Every engagement has a three-month minimum.
- Timeline
Brief to shortlist: 5 working days.
Shortlist to first commit: 3 weeks.
- If it doesn't work
We replace the engineer at our cost, and you don't pay for the handover period.
- What we don't do
Part-time placements.
Fixed-price work under twelve weeks.
Anything requiring someone on site daily.
Model-layer work dressed up as product work. We'll tell you which role you need.
- Terms
Miyagami is ISO 27001 certified and GDPR-compliant, with EU data residency and IP that transfers to you on payment.
DBA-compliant contracting for Dutch engagements.
When another option is the better call
| Option | What you get |
|---|---|
| Hiring in-house | Four months to sign, more to be useful, and you carry the risk. |
| A freelancer | A freelancer starts fast, but nobody vets or manages them, and they leave when something better comes along. |
| A marketplace | Sends a CV from a large pool and steps back. |
| An agency build | Sells a project and leaves. |
| A nearshore team | Engineers in Eastern Europe at higher rates that rise with demand, with vetting and management that vary by supplier. |
| An offshore company | Volume at low rates, run by the supplier's delivery manager, often on multi-year contracts. |
| Miyagami | Senior engineers vetted against a published standard, full-time in your team in three weeks, with someone who answers for them. |
Why do you publish a price comparison?
You'd ask anyway, so publishing it saves a call for both of us. It shows the full cost of a local hire next to ours, line by line.
Is there a recruitment fee?
There's no recruitment fee and nothing to pay upfront. You pay a monthly fee per engineer, from €5,600.
What's the difference between embedded and dedicated?
Engineers embedded in your team join your existing team and report to your lead, which suits scale-ups and enterprise. A dedicated team works together on a product or workstream you own, which suits founders and SMEs, and a hybrid with your own people is possible. Both are priced per engineer per month.
Your numbers, your shortlist
You send us the roles and team size, and we come back within five working days with named engineers, their scorecards and the exact monthly cost in your currency.
