The problem
behind the brief
Schiphol wanted to offer flexible workspaces on site, but their existing setup made it difficult for visitors and professionals to find and book offices easily. Underutilised spaces, fragmented processes and a lack of modern booking infrastructure created friction for both hosts and users. To solve this, Schiphol needed a clear and consistent platform that could showcase available spaces, support hourly and daily bookings and reflect the airport’s brand experience.
How we built the right thing, & built it right
Development
We handled the full technical architecture, front end and back end development. The platform supports the entire lifecycle of workspace booking including account creation, smart search, listing detail pages, hourly and daily booking flows, booking management, user data management and an admin environment with complete oversight of listings, bookings and payments.
Strategy
Our strategic focus was on transforming underutilized physical locations into a high-performance marketplace by defining a clear roadmap for both the guest and host experiences. The goal was to build a scalable framework that balances operational complexity with a seamless, brand-aligned user journey, giving Schiphol full strategic control over their workspace assets.
Design
We designed a platform interface focused on clear navigation, intuitive flows and well structured content to make it easy to find listings, compare workspaces and manage bookings. The design also supports the seller experience by simplifying listing creation and booking management.
